visit from grandma and grandpa

We had a lovely visit with the grandparents. Isaac enjoyed playing with them and getting lots of kisses. For those we've visited lately and those who have visited us, Isaac slept soundly for 9 1/2 hours last night! Here's hoping our next visits are so peaceful!

Loving the New Neighborhood

Over break we moved back to the city. It has meant being able to see people we really like and missed while living out in the sticks.

We also spent a lot of time with one of my dearest friends who lives in Africa. We went to high school together and through so many things... this was her first time meeting Baby I and it was precious.
We walked to a cafe near our new home on her last day in The States. Baby I played his favorite game of swooping in and grabbing plate scraps.

These silly guys were there too.

a busy break: part III

While in DC we did a tiny bit of tourist-type things.

Mostly we relaxed with the people we love. A highlight for all of us was meeting Uncle Mo's brother and his family. They fed us delicious Somali food and kept Isaac smiling for hours.

a busy break: part I

We have had a very eventful break. We bought a house, moved, and traveled to DC. House pictures will come later, but here are a few from our trip.

Isaac was great on the flights. He slept for the first hour each way and then played with anything he could get his hands on. Another passenger commented on how much she enjoyed flying with our sweet little guy.
Once in DC, Isaac quickly got acquainted with two of his favorite things - the dog and the remote control.
This is a happy face...
and so is this.
