pockets and a few others

He has a new awareness of pockets.

They are a must have feature when choosing a sweatshirt for the day.

Maybe his hands get cold, maybe he needs a place to put his Cheerios.

the guys

Isaac acquired two little Lego men during the holidays. He loves them.

Mama: "Isaac, do you want to take some pictures with the guys?"
Isaac: "Yeah!!!"

Although this one's not made out of plastic, Isaac likes him a lot too.

enjoying the thaw

After weeks of subzero temperatures and scenes in which Isaac collected all of our outdoor gear, piled it onto the kitchen floor, and rolled around, we took to the streets to celebrate the warmer weather.

The Boy Loves a Good Birthday

Awhile back Isaac started wandering around singing - abba dabba ooo ooo. We had no idea what he was singing. It was only while attending a birthday party for a friend that we figured it out. It's his version of Happy Birthday To You. Carl celebated a birthday this week and Isaac was there to lend a helping hand.

Celebrating in South Bend

We had great times in South Bend. Isaac has some of the cutest cousins on the planet and a very pretty grandma.

Here Isaac is bringing the paper to grandpa. He really likes this guy.

Holidays and Such

Some time has passed and some things have happened. Some of it has been captured on film and much of it has not. Isaac is a hard guy to photograph these days. He's fast and he WANTS the camera. Often times picture taking winds up with no good photos and Isaac in a puddle on the floor. So, I try to avoid the scene altogether. That being said, we did manage to catch a few pictures of the holidays and such.

There was Hanukkah.
Isaac was very interested in the candles and the presents.

Here he is celebrating with Play-Doh.

That same week Isaac's school had a celebration. They always pick a culture to study before winter break and then present their learning to friends and families. This year they focused on Ancient Egypt.

He really liked the jewelry.

There are more pictures of our winter celebrations to come. So, stay tuned.
In other news, Isaac has started going potty on the potty. It's sporadic but very exciting.
