a need for speed

Theo likes to be in action. Theo likes to move quickly. He's a fast crawler and a fast cruiser, but walking requires a slower approach. He'd really rather run than walk, but since he's not yet capable of that he usually settles for his fast crawl. Lately, he's been slowing down here and there to take a few steps.

summer in the city

 Our summer is off to a great start.

 We visit the pool by our house quite often. Isaac loves the water and it seems like Theo does too.

 We like to visit the great farmers markets around town. Isaac got to make a card and get a free plant at the market on Father's Day.

  We spend a lot of time on our front porch.

 Isaac enjoys playing in the rain. He built this nest during one of our warm rainy days.

 We meet friends at the parks.

Theo is one!

 Baby boy turned one on June 13th. We took him to the Children's Museum for part of the day.

 Isaac helped him open a few presents.

 We had some friends over for cake. We decided to make our first homemade cake for Theo's birthday, but we didn't get a picture. It was fun to make and delicious.

Rainy Day

 Emily came to visit us over my birthday weekend.

 We went for a walk to the park and got caught in the rain. Isaac was riding his bike and laughing the whole way home. Carl and Emily ran ahead with the baby and I walked with Isaac. By the time we got back Isaac was soaked. He stripped down to his underwear to change clothes.

 But before that could happen, he escaped out the front door and back into the rain.

 He was a little hesitant at first.

 But it only took a few minutes for him to decide it was awesome to be out in the rain.

 Look at that smile! I think I can see every tooth in his mouth.

This guy was very curious about his brother's antics. Maybe next year, Theo.
