Outings with Isaac

This week we managed some outings that were not related to visiting doctors and used his stroller for the first time on a walking path near our house. Isaac seems to hold up pretty well on these adventures. I'm looking forward to more outings and being less house-bound in the coming weeks. There are great Spring events to attend in our area like the St. Paul Art Crawl and the May Day Parade.

We did make a trip to see our friend Dr. John today, but this was the first week we were able to make just one clinic visit. We always start this routine at Children's Hospital in St. Paul where Isaac has blood taken to check his sodium level. Then we trek back to our clinic in Woodbury to weigh Isaac and get the lab results. Isaac's sodium level is in the normal range and high enough to taper his sodium dose again. He'll be taking his supplement three times a day instead of four times and he weighed in at a whopping 7 lbs. 13 oz. He gained 10 ounces in a week! I'm not too surprised since his favorite past time is eating. He will nurse anywhere - at the doctor's office, at the chiropractor's office, even when taking a bath with mom.

(Photos are from after the bath.)

And in case you were wondering, Sadie also made a trip to the doctor this week. She's caught up on all of her shots and weighed in at 59 pounds.
