Isaac's first birthday is a few short days away. He's doing new things each day and it's been fun to watch him change. He is pulling himself onto his feet, pointing at and reaching for everything, toddling around the house with help, and seems to have boundless energy. Carl is convinced he could solve the energy crisis.
We took Isaac to some toy stores last weekend so he could help pick out his gifts. We've been giving him a new toy every few days.
This little wooden push cart is a big hit. He fell in love with it at the store and had a little fit when we pulled him away from it.

This is his big grin as he pushes his cart across the room.

Yesterday we gave him this xylophone.

And among his new favorites is an old favorite... the vacuum!

This boy will clap and giggle if he can manage to get his hands on the vacuum, or a spatula, or a slipper, or a postcard, or a magnet.... So, even though his new toys are nice, just about anything seems to do the trick these days. And that's just fine with us.

Very fun, and very adorable! He is looking more like Carl everyday...even my father-in-law commented on that when he saw a picture!
Happy (almost) birthday, Isaac!!
